Heap Size for Publish Data Sources

You can configure the default maximum heap size and other JVM parameters for publish data sources in Axcelerate Ingestion . A large heap size reduces the risk of out of memory exceptions during a publish. But heap size is, of course, limited by the RAM available and the number of data sources and other components that you want to create.

When you create a review interface on the Matters tab, the Axcelerate Review & Analysis application's data source is created. For this data source, we recommend a value between 1024 and 2048. A change to existing values is only required if out of memory exceptions occurred in the past.

Tip: Running multiple publishes or publishes from meta engines with many sub engines leads to increased memory consumption. In such cases, calculate the heap size carefully.

To configure the heap size according to your system,

  1. In CORE Administration, open Axcelerate Ingestion application configuration in internal mode.

Tip: To open an item's configuration in internal mode, select it, hold SHIFT and click .

  2. In the Templates and JVM node, go to the Custom JVM options for the processes.
  3. In the Parent column, find entryReviewDataSourceSystemConfigurationId and set the MaxHeapSpace to a size appropriate for your system.

  4. Click OK and restart the Axcelerate Ingestion application.
