Bloomberg Chat Threads

Axcelerate 5 uses header analysis to detect Bloomberg chat threads. Chats that have the same chat room ID are part of the same thread. The icon is dark gray for a chat that is part of a thread.

Chat threads are typically seen when chats were collected separately from different people or when chats were collected on more than one occasion.

For example, the conversation of a chat collected on January 1st may continue past that date. If chats are collected from the same source on June 30th, the collection is likely to contain the continued chat conversation. As both the chat collected in January and the continued chat collected in June have the same chat room ID, the two chats will be shown in Axcelerate 5 as part of the same thread.

Similarly, if chats were collected separately for two Bloomberg users who chatted with each other, the chat collection from each source is likely to contain all or part of the same chats. In this example, the chats will be identified as threads if they have the same chat room ID. If any chats are identical, they will also be identified as duplicates.

Note: End of branch is not available for chat messages.
