Format Requirements for Bloomberg Data
Axcelerate 5 offers processing and display of Bloomberg data, when the data is received in one of the formats described below.
Raw data in original Bloomberg format is required. Processing and display functionality is not available if the Bloomberg data was processed and exported from another eDiscovery platform.
Original TXT Export Format
Bloomberg data should be provided to Recommind in the original Bloomberg TXT export format, which is typically provided by Bloomberg within a .tgz container file. The expected directory structure for chats within the .tgz file looks like this:
- arbitraryparentname
- TXT
- mmddyy-mmddyy
- prefix.IB.mmddyy-mmddyy.txt
- prefix.IB.mmddyy-mmddyy.txt.att.tar.gz
- prefix.IB.mmddyy-mmddyy.txt.audit.txt
- mmddyy-mmddyy
- TXT
- mmddyy-mmddyy
- Start and end date of the export.
- prefix.IB
- Prefix for chat messages.
- prefix.B
- Prefix for email (.B replaces .IB in the above structure example).
- audit.txt
- Bloomberg exports contain an audit file that details the parameter of the search run to generate the export, and the counts of messages and attachments.
Explanations for directory structure components
Tip: Use the audit file to compare what was exported with the resulting processed records.
XML export archives
Recommind can also process XML exports from Bloomberg. Submission of a sample is encouraged.
