When you bulk print documents, the system generates PDF files and presents them in a ZIP file for download.
Important: The PDFs are named by the primary Results list sort order when multi-sort is not selected. When multi-sort is selected, the PDFs are named by the field selected in the Sort 1 box, e.g., if the Sort 1 box is set to ID, the PDFs will be named [ID].pdf.
To bulk print documents:
- In the Results list of the Analysis page, select the documents to be printed.
- In the toolbar of the Results list panel, select .
Note: The Summary panel that displays shows the number of documents to print and the number of documents waiting for conversion. If any selected documents are not converted, the system converts them automatically. This may delay availability of the ZIP file for download as it is not created until all documents are converted.
- In the Print wizard, make your selections and then click Print to initiate the job.
- Redaction View
- Prints the Redaction view and allows you to optionally include redactions.
- To include redactions, activate Include Redactions in the View-Specific Options area and then select the type of redaction you want to print:
- Solid redactions conceal the redacted content and the redaction reason is displayed.
- Translucent redactions allow you to see the redacted content through the redaction and the redaction reason is not displayed.
- Image/Near Native View
- Prints the Image view, if available, or Near Native view if the Image view is not available.
- You can also optionally print annotations if they are applied to the view that is printed, e.g., the Image view or the Near Native fallback view. To include annotations, activate Include Annotations in the View-Specific Options area.
- Production View
- Prints documents as they appeared when formally produced in an Axcelerate 5 production. After you select this option, the Production area appears. Use the drop-down lists to select the production workflow and sub-production of interest.
Note: If any of the documents selected for printing are not contained in the production/sub-production you select, those documents are not printed.
Document ViewSelect the view to be printed:
Separator SheetActivate this check box to have an additional page added in front of each printed document. You can then add text and metadata fields to the page.
Metadata AppendixThis option becomes available when printing the Image/Near Native View or the Redaction View. Activate this check box and an additional page is appended to the end of each document in the print job; you can select up to ten metadata fields to include on the appendix.
Document OverlayThis option becomes available when printing the Image/Near Native View or the Redaction View. Activate this check box to specify custom text or field values to display on each page of the printed documents. When you select Text, another input field is shown where you can specify the static text to add to the overlay. You can choose to display the information at the top or bottom of each page, positioned to the left, center or right.
Grouping and SortingEnable Group by family to sort family members together.
Select the order in which the documents will be printed; the current Results list sort order can be used or you can select a new multi-sort order of up to three levels.
Important: If the number of PDFs to be created by the print job is set higher than 1 and you wish to keep the selected grouping/sort order, then you must also enable Add numeric sort order prefix to file names in the PDF Settings area.
PDF SettingsBulk print outputs documents in PDF containers. Input the number of documents to include in each PDF, i.e., input 1 and each document is contained in its own PDF container; input 50 and 50 documents are contained in one PDF container.
Note: By default, up to 100 documents can be bundled into a PDF container. If you input a number larger than 100, multiple PDF containers are generated: one per 100 documents. An Administrator can change this limit.
Activate Add numeric sort order prefix to file names and the file names of the generated PDFs receive a prefix reflecting their position number in the result set. The system automatically pads the prefix with leading zeros based on the number of PDFs being generated.
ExampleYou select five documents to print in ID order, each document in its own PDF container. The settings you select determine the order of the files within the ZIP file.
Group by family enabled. Add numeric sort order prefix to the file names not enabled. The documents are named by ID and sort in ID order.

Group by family enabled. Add numeric sort order prefix to the file names enabled. The documents are named by ID, with a numeric prefix that consists of a family counter and a family member counter. This orders the documents by the parent ID and keeps families together.

If you elect to print multiple documents into one PDF container, the file names of the generated PDFs reflect the name of the first and last document printed into the PDF, including their respective prefix counters.
NameGive your job a unique name to make it easy to find on the Jobs page.
DescriptionInput an optional description for the print job.
- Navigate to Administration > Jobs to monitor the progress of the job. Each document to print is one job step. When the print job is finished, as indicated by the Status column, check for errors in the Errors column. If the job contains errors, select Error Log from the actions menu to review the errors.
- To retrieve a finished ZIP file print package, select Download from the actions menu. You will be prompted to select a location on your local workstation or network, optionally rename the ZIP file, and then click Save to download the file. Navigate to the location where you saved the file and double-click the file to open it and view the PDFs inside. You can then optionally print the PDF files to your local printer.
Tip: To find documents processed by a specific Print job, use the Job Processing Smart Filter.
