Adaptive Batching

How adaptive batching works

When a document set is added to a review workflow that is configured for adaptive batching, the first batches are created incrementally, based on the incremental batch template settings. At a scheduled time, the system checks whether these batches are reviewed to at least 75%. If they are, the system calculates the confirmation rate for the set’s batched documents and compares it to the specified confirmation thresholds.

If the confirmation rate is below the lower threshold, the set is proven to contain few relevant documents and batching is stopped for the set.

If the confirmation rate is between the upper and the lower threshold, the next incremental batching is executed.

If the confirmation rate is above the upper threshold, the set is proven to contain enough relevant documents to warrant batching of all documents remaining in the set. This batching applies the settings from the incremental template used for adaptive batching, but ignores the restriction for the number of batches.
