Documents are converted on-the-fly when a user opens Near Native, Image or Redaction view.
Case Managers can also bulk convert documents or define preconversion rules for automatic conversion. Converting documents before review begins speeds up review as it reduces the time between when a user selects a document for viewing and when the document actually displays. Bulk conversion is also required for bulk redaction jobs and for most productions.
Text view is not converted. Text is loaded directly from the underlying database, not from the native file.
