Discussion Panel

The Discussion panel allows users to exchange document-related comments in Axcelerate 5. When enabled, the panel is available to all users on the Analysis and Review pages. Comments added to the panel are also tracked in Document History.

Access the Discussion panel
To access the panel, select Discussion from the Tagging panel header menu.

Note: If you do not see the Discussion option, it is not enabled in your project.

Add a Comment
Enter text, up to 500 characters, into the Start typing... area. If desired, click to flag the comment as important within the panel. Click to save the comment.

Edit a Comment
You can only edit comments you saved. Hover your mouse on the comment and click when it appears. Make your edits and click to save.
Delete a Comment
Non-administrator users can only delete their own comments. A user with an Administrator user role can delete any comment made by any user.
To delete a comment, hover on the comment to be deleted and click when it appears. Click Confirm and the comment is removed, leaving a This comment has been deleted placeholder. The placeholder cannot be deleted.
Search Comments
Use the Search In Smart Filter and select the Discussion field to search for Discussion panel content. You can search for text that may be part of a comment or the user name of the person who added a comment. You can also use Any Value to locate all documents containing comments, or No Value to locate documents that do not have comments.
Document History Audit Record
To see Discussion panel original comments and edits, open the Document History panel and filter to non-tagging events. The date and time a comment was added is preserved, even if a comment is later edited. To see the time stamp of the last edit, you can also hover your mouse on the word edited in the Discussion panel.
