Production Export Content

The production export creates a ZIP file. Inside the ZIP file, there are one or more production volumes, plus a transmittal.log file with statistical data. Each volume contains the following content, provided the respected files were selected to be part of the export package:

  • DATA (OPT & DAT files)
  • IMAGES
  • TEXT
  • NATIVES

There can be two different reference files in one export:

  1. One file in CSV or Concordance format, which contains the references to the production’s text files or native files.
  2. One file in standard Opticon format with references to the production’s images. This file is only created if images are exported.
Additionally, the reference files contain metadata as specified for the export.

CSV/Concordance file content

This file contains the following information for each produced document:

  • Bates numbers
  • Relative paths to the native files or text files
  • Document metadata as defined in the Export Production wizard.

Note: CSV reference files are UTF-8 encoded text files. Concordance reference files use text qualifier and paragraph line break characters that are not UTF-8 compliant.

Opticon file content

This file contains the following information:

  • Bates numbers
  • Volume identifiers as defined in the Export Production wizard
  • Relative path entries to the image files

The image for the first page of a multipage document is marked with a y. The image files for the second and following pages of a multiple page document have no y entry.

  • Total number of image files for each produced document.

Transmittal.log file

This file contains document and image counts, information on gaps and slip sheets. It also contains the export job error messages. This is helpful for older exports, when the export job has been removed from the Jobs page.
