Search Analysis Report

The Search Analysis report allows you to analyze a search query in-depth. It can also be referred to as a Transparent search report.

The report is used if a search query does not deliver the expected results, for example the search query finds too few or too many documents.

The report shows counts and native file size for these search variations:

  • the current query combined with different search modes
  • exact match counts for each term of the search query
  • exact match search in the fields you can search with the Search In Smart Filter.

The file size information is exact if native files have been copied to a CORE native file storage. This file size information is stored in the rm_nativestoragesize field. If native files have not been copied to a native file storage, size information is only approximate. The size information stored by the data source crawler in the rm_filesize field is used.

Note: The counts are only shown for keyword searches. If the Current Criteria contain filters, these are ignored.

The report is available on the Analysis page. To open the Search Analysis Report wizard, select it from the Actions menu of the Results list toolbar.

This opens a wizard with the report preview. Click Run to generate a CSV file with semicolons as field delimiters. As soon as it is available, the report wizard closes and the browser download dialog opens.
