If the term to be redacted
is short, and the redaction contains a redaction reason, the reason may be
cut off in the production image.
Search-based redaction tools cannot identify text that is displayed in an image. You should always manually review search-based and global redactions for accuracy.
Patterns for redactions may
not cover complete numbers, or may redact more information than intended. For
example, as redactions only search for US telephone numbers, European phone
numbers may only be partially obscured. Or credit card numbers of a specific
credit card type may be obscured by a pattern applied for another credit card
type. To avoid incorrect redactions, search for pattern redactions and verify them.
The text index created during conversion for very large documents is dropped to prevent web browser out-of-memory errors. When this occurs, search-based redactions are not
available and are grayed out in Redaction view. This limitation does not apply to the remaining redaction options, including global
redactions.
