ExpeDat (Data Expedition)
Caution: ExpeDat has the ability to consume all available network bandwidth to maximize transfer speed. If you are doing a high volume of data transfers, we advise using a dedicated high-speed internet line or configuring the software to cap the bandwidth usage (see: ExpeDat Configuration).
OpenText™ Discovery will provide the mtpexpedat.exe file, the server name and associated credentials.
To use ExpeDat to load data:
- Copy the executable file to your desktop and then double-click the icon to launch the client user interface.
- In the MTP ExpeDat window, enter the server name and the provided UserID and Password.
Important: Do not click the green arrow to log in. This will remove the path reference and return an error.
- Keep the Encryption check box selected.
- Populate the Remote Path with the name of your Axcelerate Cloud pod and client folder, for example: //vapCLIENT01NS001/etransfer/CLIENT, and click refresh
to display the folders within that path.
- Browse to and select the folders and files you want to upload.
- Click Send to push data to the directory specified in the Remote Path.
By default, the server supports two concurrent data transfer sessions. If you need more concurrent sessions, contact the Axcelerate Cloud Implementation Team and ask to increase your license.
