Search Query Editor (SQE)

The SQE has two views:

Count view
Provides a structured view of your search query. Each query element is represented in its own row and all rows are automatically combined with OR operators. Without running the search, you can click Compute counts and obtain document counts for each of the query elements. This allows you to make any necessary adjustments to the query before running the complete query against the repository.

Note: If you run a search, apply a sticky family inclusion, and then open the SQE and click Complete counts, the counts then also include any family members hits.

Text view
Allows you to paste in search terms from an external source and edit the query in a free text format. You can run the search from text view or return to count view to obtain document counts. Each line break inputted in text view is interpreted as an OR operator.
