Log files are stored on the file system. You can view them in their original location, but there are more convenient and efficient ways you should try first.
- The Monitoring tab
- The first place to access logged information for engines, data sources and applications, is the Monitoring tab in CORE Administration. Its Alerts sub tab displays critical alerts of the CORE system.
- Automatic notifications
- The most convenient way to monitor engines and data sources are automatic notifications that are sent to your email account. Automatic notifications can be configured for monitoring and for alerts.
- CORE Log Viewer
- Use the CORE Log Viewer to see the most recent log entries, and to compare several log files for index engines or crawlers side-by-side.
Log File Locations
In support cases, you may have to view or copy log files located on the file system. You find them following these paths:
- Application log files
- %MINDSERVER_PROJECTS%\<application name>\WEB-INF\Logs
- Data source log files
- %MINDSERVER_PROJECTS%\datasource.<data source name>\WEB-INF\Logs
- Index engine log files
- %MINDSERVER_PROJECTS%\singleMindServer.<index engine name>\Logs
- Meta engine log files
- %MINDSERVER_PROJECTS%\mergingMeta.<meta engine name>\Logs
