Add or Rename Values of a Type-Ahead Field from the Tagging Panel
You must have one of the following user roles to conduct these tasks:
- Case Manager
- Power User
- Power Reviewer
To add or rename values of a type-ahead field using the Tagging panel:

Locate the field in the Tagging panel. You may need to switch to another arrangement to locate the field.
- If the Tagging panel is not active, select the document you are currently viewing in the Results list.
- Continue with one of these actions:
- Add a new value to a single value or multivalue field
- Type the value in the field's text box exactly as you want it to appear and click . The value is immediately added and applied as a tag to the document.
Important: If you do not want the document tagged with the new value, click , clear the check box for that value and then click Apply.
- Add a new value to a hierarchy field
- Click to open the Edit category list window. Use the text box to locate and select the parent value under which you want to add the new value. Hover on the parent value and click when it appears. Type the value in the Add new value text box exactly as you want it to appear and click . The value is immediately added. To tag the document with the value, click Apply.
Important: If you do not want the document tagged with the new value, click Cancel.
- Rename a value
- To rename a value, click to open the Edit category list window.
- If the value to be renamed is listed, select it from the drop-down list or search for it using the type-ahead text box. Once the value is available, hover your mouse on it and click when it appears. Rename the value, click and then click Apply.
Important: If you do not want the document tagged with the renamed value, clear the value's check box before you click Apply.
