- Open the Sender Address Smart Filter and use the type-ahead text box to find and select the party of interest who initiated the communications and click Apply. Next, open the All Recipients Smart Filter and use the type-ahead text box to find and select the party of interest who received the communications and click Apply.
- Open the Sender Address Smart Filter and use the type-ahead text box to find and select the party of interest and click Apply. Add the search hits to a folder and then clear the query. Open the All Recipients Smart Filter and use the type-ahead text box to find and select the same party of interest and click Apply. Add the documents to the same folder and then clear the query. In the Foldering panel, hover on the folder name and click the toolbar button when it appears; select Filter Results to view all of the communications added to the folder.
- Smart Filters contain an Exclude toggle, used to exclude selected values. Say, for example, you discovered that the title of a weekly company newsletter was captured as a value in the Phrases Smart Filter. To view all documents except for those newsletters, open the Phrases Smart Filter, locate the value for the newsletter title using the type-ahead text box, select the check box for that value and then toggle on Exclude and click Apply.
- To see how many documents were loaded for a specific custodian, open the Custodian Smart Filter and the document counts for each custodian display.
- The Any Value and No Value options are also helpful, for example, you might open the Privilege Smart Filter and click Any Value to find all documents that have been tagged with any privilege value.
