Field Types
The following field types are available:
One value can be selected.
Any or all values can be selected. The values are displayed in a flat list.
Any or all values can be selected. The values are ordered in a hierarchy and a main value can have an unlimited number of sub-values.
Hierarchy field used for tagging
Note: When you tag a top hierarchy value, only that value is tagged. When you tag a sub-value, its top hierarchy values are also tagged. When you remove a tag, it is removed for the respective value and also from all sub-values; parent tags are not automatically removed.
Used to enter text; a 5,000 character limit is recommended.
The Review State field is its own field type because it has special powers: it is used to track the status of document review and optionally to allow users to pull review batches.
You can convert any single value, multivalue or hierarchy field to display as a type-ahead field in the Tagging panel.
To use a type-ahead field, a user clicks in the type-ahead text box. The first 30 field values show in a drop-down list. If the desired value is not shown, the user can search for it using the type-ahead box.

Note: An Administrator can modify the pod-wide threshold settings for type-ahead fields, that is, they can configure a field to auto-convert to a type-ahead display when it reaches a set number of values and they can change the number of values that display in the drop-down field value list. Fields that display a large number of values have an impact on browser performance. For this reason, increasing the threshold settings is not recommended.
Hierarchy and multivalue fields can also be added to the Foldering panel and used for document organization.
